Prakriti Samsad - Over Four Decades with Nature.
On 27th May 1978, Prakriti Samsad - The Nature Council was formed.
Our Mission: To know, study, observe and record all possible subjects and aspects of natural ecology and to promote and encourage all acts pertaining to conservation of biodiversity and maintenance of ecological balance.
Over the years, Prakriti Samsad has built up a remarkable record of activism by members who range from ordinary citizens to acclaimed scientists. We have awakened generations of men and women and children to the wonders of nature; many of them have gone on to become field naturalists acclaimed in their respective fields. They have created an archive of recordings on the beauty of nature, documenting landscapes, birds, animals, insects and other aspects of natural history.
This base of knowledge and experience has turned Prakriti Samsad from a nature club to an organisation recognized for projects and research in nature conservation and wildlife.
